To whom it may concern,

Hi, my name is Ashley Bell, I am a 16 year old high school student looking to show my 5 year old Paso Fino stallion named Profeta De El Ranch-O. I don’t get to show him much as there are no Paso Fino shows in New England other than one, and there is also a rule that states any show rider under the age of 18 can not show a stallion other than breed shows.
The show is named Paso Fino Fandango and it’s on August 14th and 15th at the farm Paso Fino Del Fuego in Middleboro Massachusetts.
I am looking for sponsors to help defray the cost of this show. Some of the costs include a $50 stalling fee to keep the horse at the show grounds per night, $15 drug fee, $30 USEF registration onetime fee. I am plan on doing about four $35 classes and two $15 classes with my horse Profeta along with some more I hope.
Defraying the cost of the boarding, classes and other ect… would be grateful. My mom and I are planning on just staying in our truck instead of wasting money on a hotel and that way we can also keep an eye on Profeta.
I am trying to come up with as much money as I possibly can but being unemployed and having my mom pay for everything is hard on both of us. As you can tell I really love him and would like to show him in this show.

This is really a great site. Angela and Eddy you have done it again. Its like comming 'home' again to be with old friends and new. Thanks for everything that you do for the horse lovin people!!!

Many things have changed for me (us) during the last year. We're still trying to take care of all our animal babies on our fixed income. Since Robin has been unable to find work we start each month in the hole financially. And it's been like this for so long something HAS to change. I've never been one to live above my means but I do feel responsibility to everyone here which includes my pets. Contrary to everyone that takes pleasure in judging me (mostly inlaws): horses & pets are in no way assets to me, they are family. When you purchase one you take responsibility for a living, breathing feeling being and you accept them into your family.

Some of our elderly pets have passed on which has helped a $$ little--not that they aren't missed but it's true. We did get a new kitten to fill the cat void. The passing of Socks didn't help us $$wise cause my Mom paid for all his care anyway the last few years. That leaves me paying for 3 horses. My income allows me for 1. During the last 6 months I've struggled with the idea of downsizing a couple of horses. The 1st to go would be Josie's pony Princess. I feel sad cause she's Josie's but she has the least potential. She's also so traumatized from the abuse she suffered that I just can't bring myself to mess with her too much. I think she needs to be a pasture ornament somewhere and live out her days. And since I don't have pasture...well, she needs a new home.

A few months ago I called the place I got her from but Jennifer said she couldn't take her at the time and to see if I could find her a home. I try to give her away for a couple of weeks, take her off, put her back on...this is hard. When an ad for her 1st gets posted all kinds of ppl contact me wanting to adopt her. But when they learn I want a contract they don't call back. To me that indicates they planned to sell her or something. And I don't want her out there in today's market without anyone watching over her!

Anyway, I called Jennifer back last week and told her the troubles I'm having trying to adopt her out. So Jennifer's supposed to be coming out one day this week to pick her up and take her back to the rescue. Princess will be missed. She's so pretty and cute!! She neighs her little head off every time she sees one of us! She comes right up to the fence to get treats, she looks to us for protection and care. She will be missed!

Update June 18th, 2010:
We have our first set of new members trickling in and moving around the site which is just thrilling! We are so excited to see the site start to come to life and want to thank each and every one of you that supported the idea of bringing this site into being!!

The first "Announcement" has been added and we are starting to make the Wiki about the site features...and there are some really great ones that are already here! Our younger members are protected by privacy settings that are in place with their profile and with settings that can be put in place when you upload your photos. Please take the time to select the appropriate settings when adding photos...if it is something you would not want a 12 year old to see then select "warning" and if it something that may not be appropriate for anyone over 13 but under 18 then please select "strict".
