Brian and I have 12 horses right now and one boarder. Lots of mouths to feed.
DANI
First I have to mention Maliha Dancer, fondly known as Dani. She's a bay Anglo Arabian that was born February 20, 2008. She is like my child. Her dam was a maiden mare and was scared to death of Dani. Because of her fear of this little moving object, Dani's mom promptly rejected her. A wonderful friend of mine and I made the mare let Dani nurse for 2 and a half days by brute force, but because of the mare's fear, she wasn't letting her milk down and Dani wasn't getting enough to eat. It was cold, very cold and we had a very sick little foal on our hands. Long story short... By the grace of God, someone lost a day old colt and asked my vet is she knew of anyone that needed a nurse mare. With much coordinating, many people contacted, and lots of blessings, the nurse mare took to Dani like she was her own little foal. Dani and Wisp stayed in a stall for over a month while Dani recovered from malnutrition, pneumonia, and anemia. After 3 plasma transplants and loads of meds and tons of time and love by a lot of very special people, Dani is healthy and happy now. She has her forever home here at Raintree.
ROCKY is Brian's black and white paint gelding. He is a registered APHA named Neon College Kid, but Rocky suits him much better. Rocky's a big 14.3! He's a great horse with lots of spring in his step. He likes to prance, strut and show off, kind of like the cowboy who rides him <LOL...I love you Bri>.
BRISTOL is my QH mare that I ride most of the time. She's a 15 hand, AQHA girl named Ima Star Mist. She is taking maternity leave at this time, however, and I can't wait to get her back on the trails. Bristol is all sorrel with a small white star. No socks, no stockings, just a beautifully simple girl that is an awesome ride.
KINSLEY (yet to be registered <appendix>) is Bristol's new little filly. Kinsley was born July 20th, 2010, so brand new to the world. She is a very dainty little bay with a big white bleeding star that drips down her little face into an awesome snip. She has 2 stockings and a sock and boy she can make those little feet move. Her favorite thing is to run run run. She is very independent, wandering off from her mom frequently. Poor Bristol has to chase her and when she catches up with her, gives her a "nicker lashing"! It is yet to be determined if Kinsley will be for sale.
